Goat Mountain was a California Region 5 Plan BC-301 cabin on a 30 foot K-Brace open, steel tower. The structure was constructed in 1934 replacing an earlier Plan 4A cabin on a shorter tower that was built prior to 1920.
The tower was derelict by 2005 with some remains of the cabin still on top of the tower.
