Description
The 7x7 observation cabin was built atop a 40 foot X-Brace open steel tower with funds raised by the Contra Costa Hill Fire Protective Association in cooperation with the City of Berkeley.
The tower was removed in 1960 when funding was withdrawn to staff the lookout.
