Hungry Creek Peak is the farthest north lookout site in California, only 650 yards from the Oregon border.
The lookout was built in 1937, a California Region 5 Plan BC-301 cabin on a 10 foot timber tower.
The structure was removed prior to 1986. A foundation remains at the site.
