There are two sites on the Camp Edwards Army Base that operated on each end of the base. They were used to locate the fires that were started as a result of ordnance that caused fires in the firing range and spread outside of the base. They were taken down when the government closed the range. There is little known about this 35' woden tower due to national security, other than it was on the Camp Edwards Army Base and it was used from 1938 through 1960.
