The rock foundation of the lookout tower and a radio facility remain atop Bridger Peak.
From from an oral history taken by the Grand Encampment Museum of Leslie Williams, whose father Evan Williams was a long-time ranger on the Medicine Bow National Forest: "The fire lookout on Bridger Peak was made of stone and the walls were very thick. It had a small window looking each direction and there was a platform on top of it. On nice days the fire guard could sit on the platform but on cold windy days he would have to watch out of the windows and if he spotted a smoke he would have to go up on the platform to locate the exact position of the smoke."
