Description
Grass Valley Lookout was constructed in 1925 on a 80 foot X-Brace open steel tower. The cabin appears to be an 8x8 wood structure.
The lookout was destroyed in a storm and heavy snow load in 1933. The site was replaced by the current Strawberry Peak lookout located to the south.
The exact location of Grass Valley is unknown but is described as 'west of Grass Valley on a high ridge'.
