Description
A series of structures have graced the top of Baldy Mountain. In 1917, the US Forest Service and Montana jointly built a camp. A cabin with a cupola was constructed in 1928. A 20-foot L-4 tower came in 1949 and was replaced in 1979 by a 30-foot treated timber flat. The lookout was removed in 1990.
