Description
This 19'x14' wooden cab on stone foundation was built 1931 on Comers Rock, the highest point in Wythe County. The cab was sold to a private party in 1956, but the site is now a public scenic lookout. A concrete slab was poured on top of the footer, and on top of that were built stone pillars with wooden rails between them. The lookout is now part of the Mount Rogers National Recreation Area, which lies within the Jefferson National Forest.
